FADIYA’S Personal Experience & Biography

Fadiya is a dedicated and licensed social worker with over 15 years of experience in facilitating positive change in the lives of individuals, families, and couples. Based in the Durham area, she extends her services to anyone within Ontario. Her professional journey includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in diverse settings such as non-profit organizations, schools, mental health agencies, medical clinics and hospitals.

In addition to her extensive professional background, she has taken the initiative to establish her own private practice, Find Your Strength. As the Director, she not only oversees the operations but also remains actively engaged in providing therapy to clients.

She cultivates strong relationships with clients, utilizing a variety of approaches tailored to individual needs. Meeting clients where they are in the moment, she collaborates with them to develop personalized plans that support their unique journey towards healing and growth.

As a clinician, her commitment is deeply rooted in empathy, a profound respect for your self-determination, and a strong focus on building trust. She is passionate about helping clients discover their inner resilience and potential. Dana’s Personal Experience & Biography

Dana is Find Your Strength’s valued Client Intake Coordinator who responds to new client inquires and handles all our client scheduling. With four years of experience in Health Administration at one of Scarborough’s largest hospitals she brings a wealth of expertise in managing the intricacies of healthcare operations. Having earned an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Mental Health from the University of Toronto, Dana possesses a strong academic foundation that complements her practical skills.

Dana’s professional journey has enabled her to work with a diverse patient population demonstrating her commitment to inclusivity and compassionate care. Dana is driven by a profound passion for advancing and contributing to the accessibility of mental health care services to those in need. Dana is dedicated, enthusiastic and committed to supporting individuals on their mental health journey, making a positive impact every step of the way.

KIRTHIKA EASWARAN

Kirthika’s Personal Experience & Biography

Keethi holds an MSW from Carleton University, and a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Studies from the University of Toronto. She has worked in non-profit organizations and private care settings for over 5 years, and currently provides support to youth in the community as an individual & family therapist. Keethi has extensive experience providing counselling and psychotherapy to people from diverse groups and walks of life.

Keethi compassionately assists clients with various concerns, such as anxiety, depression, loss, relationship & family trauma, self-esteem & identity struggles, and emotion regulation challenges. She approaches her practice by helping clients to identify their values & goals and the steps to building a meaningful life for them. She prioritizes the therapeutic relationship with clients and seeks to build a safe & warm environment, by using a trauma-informed and collaborative lens in care. Keethi uses well-researched interventions, such as CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. She is passionate about helping individuals heal from their emotional wounds and create transformational changes in their lives, by walking alongside them on their journey.

Keethi is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

ANGELA WANIGASEKERA

ANGELA WANIGASEKERA

MA, RP, Registered Psychotherapist

Angela’s Personal Experience & Biography

Angela is a Registered Psychotherapist providing virtual individual counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals who reside in Ontario. Angela has earned her Masters of Art in Counselling Psychology (MA) from Yorkville University. Angela works with adults (18-65) who experience various mental health concerns related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, and poor coping. Angela has a particular interest in working with young adults as they navigate difficult inner experiences, unhelpful beliefs about the self, and change.

Angela’s style uses authenticity, warmth, and compassion, paired with evidenced-based therapy. Angela’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and strengths-based, and draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Angela has a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and also regularly engages in professional development to update her skills. Over the past 8 years, Angela has worked in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings with individuals who experienced mental health and substance use concerns. Angela’s hope is that you feel safety and acceptance in the therapeutic space, where you can share openly and work towards your healing journey.
